Compression Socks for Varicose Veins
Compression socks and stockings are an effective countermeasure against the development and/or spread of varicose veins. All styles of TXG graduated compression socks are suitable for varicose veins treatment and prevention. The level of compression you require will depend on your condition, so always refer to our compression guides or check with your doctor to see what compression level is best for you. Keep reading to find out more about what causes the condition, how it’s treated and why TXG compression products could offer you the perfect graduated compression socks or stockings for your varicose veins.
What Are Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins are created when blood in your veins struggles to flow back to your heart (against gravity) from your lower limbs because the leaflet valves in the veins in these areas are weak or damaged. These veins should be opening in the direction of blood flow before closing again immediately afterwards, but in some cases they can fail to do so and lose elasticity and stretch, allowing some blood to pool, enlarging the veins and become varicose. As this blood is deoxygenated, it appears as dark blue or purple lines on the skin’s surface.
It’s common for pregnant women to develop varicose veins during the nine months where they circulate increased blood around their body to support their growing child. Age also leads to weakened valves, and if you’re overweight and inactive or have a family history of varicose veins, you have a good chance of developing them. In most cases, varicose veins are just unsightly, but they can develop into painful ulcers on the skin above the affected veins, creating permanent skin discolouration, burst veins and in very severe cases, blood clotting.
Varicose veins are usually harmless but can make you feel self-conscious about revealing your legs, impacting your self-esteem. If the reason for your varicose veins isn’t temporary (such as pregnancy), you should consider long-term ways for preventing them from occurring and worsening, rather than leave them unattended and run the risk of a more severe condition developing.
With our modern stocking and sock designs, no one will ever know that you’re wearing compression wear.

Great fit, super comfortable, already noticing the benefit. Will be ordering more pairs.

Fabulous service, socks are nicer than I imagined for travel socks! Thank you

Fantastic service. Sleeves are great! Thanks for the speedy delivery.

Great product. Just used them on flights back to UK.

Best socks. Way better than the last ones I wore years ago which were all nylon and horrible.
My compression stockings have arrived and it is the first day I am wearing them. I am glad the weather is cooler now so it is not a problem to wear stockings.
Great to wear them when doing a lot of overdue ironing, gardening and walking. All the tiredness seems to have gone!
My only complaint is that they are a bit too tight under the knees but I hope they will soften or loosen a bit and then I'll be 100% pleased.

I have only been wearing my socks a couple of days and already notice my legs are not so tired at the end of the day. I like the reinforced toe and heel - also makes it easier to roll the socks on.

Use them for circulation during exercise, in the early days, but so far very comfortable, and the compression is really good. Very fast service also!

I have ordered compression socks from TXG before and every time they have been delivered in a flash. The socks are great. I find them comfortable and they certainly eliminate any swelling in my ankles that might accumulate during the day. I like the way the new iteration has more reinforcing in the heel so, I feel confident they will last even longer than my older pairs

Fast delivery, good fit and the quality looks promising; time will tell.
Good to know it's not made in China.

I have been using TXG "Classic Daily" compression stockings for several years now. Just great quality!

I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis in both feet so the versatile sock is easy to swap from foot to foot dependent on which one hurts. It's also so easy to put on, feels secure and is much more comfortable and easy to sleep with than a boot. The fact it compresses my calf at the same time is a win win :)
